QUALIFIED / SEMI QUALIFIED HGV MECHANIC

J&M Collinson Ltd is a well-established family run Haulage business based in Garstang, Nr Preston. We run a fleet of around 30 wagons and have our own workshop on site

Due to expansion of our business, we are looking for a fully qualified and semi qualified mechanic to join our team.

The role of a mechanic is to repair vehicles and to carry out routine maintenance checks to ensure that the vehicle is running as it should be, Mechanics need to have a good technical knowledge of a wide range of vehicles, a high level of attention to detail and to be able to work well with colleagues.

The successful applicant will;

Carry out repairs, Major and minor engine work

Use diagnostic equipment

Carry out servicing

Work to the DVSA Standards

Ensure all know defects are dealt with promptly

Have good knowledge of a variety of vehicles/commercial fleet.

You will be based in our onsite garage in Garstang

Wages will be negotiable depending on experience and will be discussed at interview, excellent terms available for the right candidate

Full time hours Monday to Friday including Saturdays, Overtime Available
